Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

The short version: StoreBox stores your inventory in a database on your own device. There is no account, we do not have a copy of your data, and the app shows no ads and includes no tracking or analytics SDKs. The only time anything leaves your device is when you choose to use the optional AI photo-scan feature. (This website uses privacy-first Cloudflare Web Analytics — see “About this website” below.)

Who this applies to

This policy covers the StoreBox mobile app (“StoreBox,” “the app,” “we,” “us”). By using StoreBox you agree to this policy.

Data stored on your device

StoreBox is a local-first app. The containers, items, locations, rooms, notes, and photos you create are saved in a database on your device. We do not require an account and we do not receive, store, or have access to this data. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it, so we encourage you to keep your own backups (for example, through your device’s standard backup).

Camera and photos

StoreBox uses your camera and photo library only when you choose to add a photo to a container or item, or to scan a QR label. Photos you add are stored on your device as part of your inventory.

Optional AI photo scan

StoreBox includes an optional feature that can look at a photo of a container and suggest the items inside it. If — and only if — you tap to use it, the single image you choose is sent over an encrypted connection to StoreBox’s scan service (hosted on Cloudflare) and passed to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic), which identifies the items and returns the list to your device. The image is used only to generate that result — it is not used to train any AI model, is not used for advertising, and our scan service does not store it (it is discarded once the items are returned). If you never use the AI scan feature, no images or inventory data ever leave your device.

What we do not do

Children

StoreBox is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control: you can edit or delete any container, item, or photo at any time, and uninstalling the app removes its data from your device.

About this website

This policy covers the StoreBox app. The StoreBox website (getstorebox.app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits — it is cookieless, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other sites or build a profile. It applies to the website only, never to the app or your inventory.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and post the revised policy at this address.
